Sunday, November 18, 2012 - A deep and brooding wine at this point and not showing much as it's hidden under a cloak of strong but supple tannins. But I can taste the breed here and the structure and texture are of first-growth quality and I see no reason why this wine won't become one of the top vintages of Angelus. While not as open and complex as the 2000 right now, the tannins are even finer than that great vintage. Will need more time to develop than any other vintage from this lovely estate. 93+
