Friday, August 19, 2022 - In the beginning, the wine was difficult, hard to read. After 3 hours of decanting, there’s been a transformation. In the nose some rubber, plum fruit, dark cherries with some Italian herbs. In the mouth, the start gives clean pure cherry fruit. Medium bodied. At the end some tannins pop up but they stay nicely integrated in the fruit. With warming up, some alcohol pops up. This is a nice Brunello, at its peak with still some years ahead. Given its price, this is surely a good value wine. But in therms of quality, you’ll find better quality in the appellation (at a much higher price)
