Friday, August 31, 2018 - A vivid reminder of why we always went home to Bordeaux. Not to suggest a preference over Burgundy, but rather a welcoming, perfectly ready and integrated bottle of finely made wine. Lots of smoke infused dark cherry, graphite, forest floor, plum, horse scents, and a hint of cassis. Very St Estephe without reaching the complexity a Cos or the deeper body of a Montrose. Needed under 30 minutes in the decanter and never really delivered a distinctive nose. Wonderful with food.
