Saturday, November 7, 2009 - Decanted for four hours, four times (an hour each decant). Nice dark color. Very well intergrated floral quality. There's blackberry, pencil shavings, earth, tar and a little casis. This is not ostentatious, just harmonious. The finish is quite long, gorgeous and velvety. This is a true sleeping beauty and I am not touching my second bottle for at least ten years. VERY Pauillac like and it is First Growth quality, it's just not awake enough yet, hence the quad decant. It seems that everyone is looking for some sort of deeper - alligorical meaning because of the hefty price tag. I always take price out of the equation when rating a wine, which is well deserved. This is the best Mouton since 1989. Drink 2014 - .
