Monday, January 8, 2024 - Beautiful showing. 3 years since my last, not entirely convincing bottle, and this is back to old form. A nose that can only be Bdx, dark fruit with great freshness, perfectly integrated wood spices. Good structure from the tannins which are however well integrated. Medium body with good concentration. Medium finish, could be longer but hey this is a (great) Cru Bourgeois. One of the few 05s that never shut down, and for sure good for another 10 years. Super QPR - paid $40 back then and would not be surprised if you could still find it at similar prices.
