Sunday, May 28, 2023 - Visually very evolved. I’ve had nearly 40 year old Sauternes that are less dark. Toffee, baking spices, blanched almonds on the nose. Inexplicably, tart green apple on the palette. The palette is so fresh. I have never experienced a dichotomy between nose and palette this great. Very interesting. I quite like it. I think this bottle would likely be an unrepresentative example though, for many it would be flawed.
