Thursday, March 10, 2016 - Wine Maker's Dinner: Burn Cottage and Valli Vineyards (Ostro Brasserie and Bar, Auckland, New Zealand): Intense and extremely focused. The product of an excellent year, this wine was vibrant and had immaculate focus. The oak was well integrated and did not feel as much a dominant part of the wine's personality as did the Valli wine made from the Lowborn fruit of Burn Cottage. Long, complete and echt Central Otago, this needs a year or two to settle down (under stelvin) and should age gracefully for a decade...
