Sunday, July 25, 2010 - Opened just days after 2002. Delightfully still a great wine. Very dark fruit and color, purple syrah-like. Nose complex, lots of layers of stone fruits and whiffs of flint, tobacco, and currant jam. Tastes like an aged WA cab, lush mouthfeel, and alcohols have pulled back. Acids that were dominant when released are now integrated and restrained. Not quite as lush as 2002, but still very good, and shows the potential of even Trutina. What a steal.
