Friday, September 23, 2011 - Consumed at Ristornate Allegria, Napa, CA with Carol, Dean and Leigh. Not nearly as big as I expected, but a top hat and tails sort of wine with a lot of sophistication. Dark red fruit, vanilla and oak. Exceedingly smooth right out of the bottle; continued to improve over the course of the meal, with increasing complexity. While this drinks beautifully now, I would hold a few more years to ensure an optimum experience.
