flawed

Wednesday, November 3, 2021 - Charleston VI; 11/3/2021-11/7/2021 (Charleston, SC (various locations)): Ok - flawed may be going a bit far, but this definitely wasn't quite right. When it poured it was very musty and in the glass that would kindof blow off and it would be.... fine.... HB in my experience is almost never just 'fine' and the '66 is usually very good. So perhaps some suboptimal storage in it's life span (bought from auction) or a not quite there bottle. Pity. We haven't popped one of these in a few years and I was excited to try again.

11/19/2021 9:15:00 AM - The feeling really sucks. Have purchased two clearly fake bottles in my life. One from a reputable brick-and-mortar vendor in London, who didn't even show me the bottle before wrapping it up. VCC with the label attached all wrong, cork upside-down and the taste of an overly mature petite chateau.

Still hurts my trust for all vendors and sellers IRL and online. Makes me (sometimes) want to give up the wine auctions for anything above $50 quality... But, still moving, moving on...
