Monday, January 1, 2018 - Delicious. Quite meaty/gamey for a Margaux, but with some nice pleasing menthol notes as well. Lacking the floral component of a really great Margaux. Good structure, needs food. Finish is a bit abrupt.

This is clearly the wine of the vintage in 1981. A well stored bottle needs about 90 minutes decanting to show at its best. Drink now.
