Tuesday, May 4, 2004 - ($30) 15% alcohol. A blend of Mourvedre, Valdepenas, Alicante Bouschet…maybe one or two other grapes. Possesses an alluring, piercing nose of clove, eucalyptus, and allspice over blackberry liqueur. Sweet on the attack with lush black fruits and more baking spices. No sense of excess alcohol. Nice length and supporting acidity that lends the wine a slightly tangy, but very pleasant finish. Like this.
