Monday, September 20, 2021 - Arnoux Lachaux NSG tasting. Drank in Conterno Sensory.
Appearance is clear, medium intensity, ruby colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of lifted dark violet florals, chalky minerality, dense undergrowth earth, dark red cherries. Developing.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13.5%), structured medium+ tannins, medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of ripe dark red cherries, black cherries, dark licorice, polished leather, hints of fresh blood iron animal meat. Very long finish.
Very good quality. Lots of extract and power within. Will be better with a bit more development.
Guessed correctly as 2014 but wrong plot.
