Friday, November 16, 2007 - This was the second in a vertical tasting of four vintages (2000, 1999, 1998 and 1993) at the Chateau Musar tasting held at the Whitewater Valley Wine Society and hosted by Jane Sowter of Chateau Musar (UK). The 1999 had a deeper red colour and browner hints and according to Jane it is a ‘magnum wine’ [requested in magnum size bottles] because it is so good; big power and velvety tannins, elegant and complex.
