Saturday, December 31, 2016 - Cabs & Blends (Vintage Wines Ltd., San Diego, CA): 92% CS, 4% ea Merlot & CF; 14.9% ABV

N: Jammy (lingonberries?) with a focused, intense aspect

P: MF, poss Med, body; Almost swtish frt on front goes astringent early mid palate, the astringency building into the long, VERY slightly bitter finish. NEEDS 2-3 yrs, but does it have the frt for that? 91 pts Suckling, 89 Tim Atkin, 88 Vinous, & 86 Decanter. [As is commonly the case, this vendor's $13.95 is VERY competitive.]
