Wednesday, March 15, 2017 - Deep garnet colour. The nose shows pronounced intensity aromas of cassis, ripe black currants, dark cherries, vanilla, clove, cedar and hints of violets.

It is dry in the mouth with a moderate acidity. It has firm fine-grained tannins and a warm alcohol. It is full-bodied with pronounced intensity flavours. The finish is long.

It is a very good quality wine. The finish is very persistent and the flavours very concentrated, in balance with the alcohol and tannins. It also shows complexity provided by oak ageing, but a bit more of acidity would have provided it with more freshness.
