91 Points

Wednesday, July 5, 2023 - Out of a 375 bottle. Slow oxed for 7-8 hours then into a decanter. About an hour on I poured a small glass. Nice clear crimson color. Nose is still reticent. A hint of sour berries and crunchy cranberries vanilla bean faint strawberries maybe licorice and an tiney end note. Acids is still high but I forgive that as it’s only 11 years old. You can sense the quality but is just a baby that needs another 7-10 years to develop. I’ve tasted a few of my ‘13 and I think these are wines that are not packed with material but I think will turn out to be excellent over time. Not bruises but will charm you with finesse. Glad to have many more of this wine and vintage.
