In a very nice place already, maybe still 1-2 years young but opened nicely. Great acidity, fine tannin, flavors started fresh and got deeper. Not the most complex Brunello probably due to the vintage, but very enjoyable.

Out of a 375 bottle. Slow oxed for 7-8 hours then into a decanter. About an hour on I poured a small glass. Nice clear crimson color. Nose is still reticent. A hint of sour berries and crunchy cranberries vanilla bean faint strawberries maybe licorice and an tiney end note. Acids is still high but I forgive that as it’s only 11 years old. You can sense the quality but is just a baby that needs another 7-10 years to develop. I’ve tasted a few of my ‘13 and I think these are wines that are not packed with material but I think will turn out to be excellent over time. Not bruises but will charm you with finesse. Glad to have many more of this wine and vintage.

Slightly sour cherries with some earthy notes, plenty of remaining structure, but a little short and unexciting.

Nice nose but a little sour in the finish. Expensive for the quality. Prefer the Castel Giocondo by Frescobaldi, for example.

Tired, slightly rasin. Ruby core and not really brownish but taste older than 10 years. Well cellard so I’m hoping the lot wasn’t damaged.
