Tuesday, August 22, 2017 - From a half bottle. 75% Tempranillo, 15% Garnacha, Graciano and Mazuelo 10%. 13% ABV.
Garnet translucent core, a tinge of brick towards the rim. Seductive red berries, spice, a fine hint of vanilla that melds beautifully and does not protrude; medium bodied and elegant with a consistent raspberry acidity from the outset, a touch of grip on the midpalate.
After a couple of hours, some dark berries and smoke notes emerge on the nose, and the wine has a bit more presence in the mouth, some graphite, dried herbs and liqueur cherry in addition to sour cherry acidity, fine-boned lingering tannins. Recommended to open this a couple of hours ahead of time. Wonderful, multifaceted wine.
