Monday, August 7, 2023 - Drank very nicely indeed, has certainly reached the start of its maturity plateau in my opinion, as the typical exuberance and tannic grip of a young wine (even if this was my very first tasting of this wine) have meanwhile gone and made room for composure and some tertiary notes (while retaining typical Sangiovese flavor profile). Didn't decant, only some slow ox during a few hours. The final drops remaining from the small sample I took after popping the cork, turned unexpectedly brown upon heavy swirling. I wonder if the slow ox was even needed/beneficial. Maybe it was a bottle that had matured exceptionally quickly.
