Sunday, August 28, 2022 - The moment you pop the cork, you can sense the great fruit concentration. Fumes of dark fruit and tabacco on the nose. Blackberry, blackcurrant, sweet and sour cherry on the palate. Medium body, with the tannins being silky, almost soft after a long decant. Very subtle oak, which to me is well integrated already. I was thinking this needs food, but when I checked in after 6 hours of air, two hours before dinner, I couldn’t resist any longer. The rest of the bottle was then paired with grilled lamb loin chops. This is really good already, and while it will certainly get better, the wine is very acccessable with a long decant.
