A shy nose with a little bit of apple, touch of honey and cream. The palate is very dry, well balanced freshness/acidity, tons of apple, salt and a short finish. Not bad for the price, but maybe alcohol comes through a bit too much here.

Wild strawberry, raspberry, vanilla and iron (initially right after opening) on the nose. Ripe palate, with the higher alcohol, getting some plum jam here. Medium to full body. Nice balance, very enjoyable and drinking well.

Gold, carmel color. So much going on with this nose, pure intensity. Tropical fruit notes, honey and petroleum. Acidity very strong on the palate, dry and complex, precise and concentrated. What prevents a higher score for me is the long, yet bitter grapefruit finish. I have not been exposed to aged Riesling much in the past, certainly not dry Auslese, but I am planning to become more familiar. We paired the bottle with fennel salad and shrimp. A unique experience.
