Sunday, March 26, 2023 - Split.

Bouquet of blackcurrant, herbs, pyrazines, cut tobacco, and graphite, with blackberry and spice box (oak) top notes. Correct and appealing.

Expansive and balanced throughout. Medium plus acid frames the liquid precisely. Gripping tannins, once shrouded by oak, have begun to show through. Beginning to come into its own, as a deceptively powerful and wholly seductive Left Bank offering.

This split likely had a seven to ten years of evolution ahead of it. Full bottles should have twelve to fifteen. Even then, there will be no rush. Drink by 2042-2045.
