Saturday, May 2, 2020 - (5/1/20) From a 750 ml bottle that was very similar to my bottle of 11/12/19 but more impressive—deep black fruits on the nose and palate; ample dusty tannins; and excellent balance and concentration, all of which was carried along on a medium acidity. It had a medium-long finish.

Given that there are many things about young Bordeaux wines I like, I don’t feel I opened this too soon at all. Motz’s description of a bottle from 4/15/20 matches my experience with this one and is very well said—the note is quite correct about patience, too. This bottle didn’t show at its best right out of the gate; 13% abv. (***+/16.5/93)
