91 Points

Friday, November 23, 2018 - Last tasted 21 months ago where I posted a tasting note with a score of 85 points. There must be bottle variation or age treated it well because this time around it was drinking much better than before. Decanted for 1 hour.

Black currant, anise, loamy soil, tobacco, leather, pencil shavings, green herb with a touch of compost. Dusty tannin that is almost fully resolved. It does still have a touch of what I described as plastic aftertaste, but I believe it is an expression of the Petit Verdot showing its herbal character.

Drink now as this is not the best vintage of PLC. It is as good as it is going to get.
