Friday, May 13, 2022 - Deep gold to orange. Med++ bruised apple, ripe pear, candied orange, peach, honeysuckle, honey, saffron & wet stone. A whiff of VA, a nutty, leesy, Sherry-like oxidative note and exotic spices like saffron and ginger typically associated with botrytis. No perceptible new oak. Med sweet, w/ high acidity, med alcohol (12.5%) and an oily, chewy texture. Med+ body, med++ intensity & a long finish. A bitter lemon/lime finish provides a nice balance to the RS. Pairs well with anything rich, salty and savory.
