Dark color, nearly tawny. Oxidative nose. The palate was better with bright acidity, slightly sweet honey and citrus notes. Drank best the first 30 minutes. Bought on release and stored well. Not scored.

Some signs of infiltration in the cork; the nose is closed at first with some mold tones, but the wines appears to be fine. Deep gold color with some darker accents; off-dry, it's almost moving towards the semi-sweet, but it still has some nice acidity. Nice wine, very enjoyable.

Really like this. Not too sweet with lots of acidity and buttery mouthfeel. Not as good with grilled salmon as I thought it would be, but great with kale coleslaw. Might try pairing with spicy dish next time. No hurry to consume.

Deep gold to orange. Med++ bruised apple, ripe pear, candied orange, peach, honeysuckle, honey, saffron & wet stone. A whiff of VA, a nutty, leesy, Sherry-like oxidative note and exotic spices like saffron and ginger typically associated with botrytis. No perceptible new oak. Med sweet, w/ high acidity, med alcohol (12.5%) and an oily, chewy texture. Med+ body, med++ intensity & a long finish. A bitter lemon/lime finish provides a nice balance to the RS. Pairs well with anything rich, salty and savory.

Jim and Stacy's 20th Wedding Anniversary (New Jersey, USA): Double decanted at 2pm taken to an event and enjoyed over several hours. Copper yellow color, lightly sweet and oh, so complex. The nose and palate soar even at this relatively young age with minerals, all sorts of stone fruit, chalk, pear, apple and huge acidity. Extremely long finish that seems almost dry. Gorgeous! This wine went well with multiple dished including shrimp, halibut, duck confit and pheasant. Original score 94 —> 95

This was tasty, but seemed a bit advanced from what I was expecting; deep golden in color, the nose shows honey, peach, pear, lanolin, earthy/grass notes, floral hints, and a hint of toasted almond. The palate was good, but didn't quite have the energy I was looking for. Not sure if this was slightly oxidized or what as I anticipated it being better.

This may be a bit oxidized. The color is a bit deeper golden and there's some bruised apple notes layered on top of the pear and ginger. Fairly sweet, but there's good acidity to keep it in check.

I’m reading all the remarkably consistent tasting notes by other CT community members and feeling like a joke has been played on me. Bottle was stored properly since purchase from a reputable wine store, but the liquid inside little resembled that experienced by the others. Had medium-minus acidity at best, with high residual sugar, almost as if someone added a large dose of a well aged Sauternes to the mix. The nose was dominated by the petrol notes you’d expect from a 15 year old Riesling, with the honey and fruit only showing faintly mid palate. Had a well sealed non-pushed cork, and no sign of taint. Bizarre.
Very classic wine with high acidity offset by some residual sugar. Marzipan and ginger and a luscious texture. Long length of finish. Good tension from the acidity and what is perceived as a streak of intense minerality. The Chenin character comes through in the range of apple flavors (quince, red apple, green apple) lanolin, and acidity. In this case also the mouthfeel.

Obviously very young and restrained at this stage so in a way this score is a guess and probably conservative as the wine is only showing part of its stuffing. Lovely sophisticated nose of marzipan, honey and pomelo. The palate is full bodied with concentrated fruit but shows excellent focus and an well integrated backbone of acidity indicating this will be a long ager. Flavors of grapefruit, pineapple, honey suckle, and crushed stones.

Beautiful wine, golden amber in color and a lovely bouquet of honey, stewed apples, ginger, and sweet spices. The first day this was somewhat sweet and was lighter; the second day it was all apple juice, drambuie, and stone fruit. Give it 5-10 more years and this should be an utterly fascinating wine.

This is a stunningly beautiful wine. The color is a brilliant, medium golden yellow. The nose envelops you with scents of honey, quince, apricot, minerals, mandarin orange. Its high acidity ensures a long life to come but this is gorgeous now. The flavors are so layered and complex with all sorts of stone fruit, honey, flint, various sequential layers of citrus, including lemon, lime, oranges etc. then finishes bright and long with such balance and while clearly sweet it is not cloying or excessive, just the right amount. This is such a versatile wine. It would be successful as an aperitif or with a salad (as we had it this evening) or with dessert or cheese. Very impressive and a great QPR, though not cheap it surpasses many wines that cost 2-3 times as much.

I served this in my wine course. Nose of ginger, stone fruit, baking spice, baked apple, honey. Surprisingly fresh in the mouth, and an extremely long finish, with loads of acidity and bitter with a notable reappearance of ginger in the finish.

Great concentration and good acidity (though it seemed to hold up during the first hour only). Oak is more noticeable a couple of days later and the wine reveals a more oxidized character. 12.5% ABV.

Fantastic wine, pours a honeyed, straw in color- massive dense nose of saline, spice, honey, and herbs. A little RS, stacked acidity, this really was infanticide. Had with korean fried chicken.

Perfectly nice but was expecting more. Sweet notes of apples and litchi buttressed by acidity, it comes across as a little simple compared to previous vintages. I wonder if the 1er Trie is a big step up this vintage.
This is super young, but just killer. I'd certainly hold for now, but had to try one after several 15 moelleux wines. The nose is beautiful with lemon zest, honey suckle, ginger, coriander, poached pear, peach pie, and just a hint of stone. The palate is beautiful with incredible richness and depth, a lovely sweet note that is balanced by beautiful acidity. The finish lasts for literally minutes. Just a stellar wine that has nothing but upside for decades. Wow

This golden colored wine presents notes of ripe pear, apple, ginger, and a hint of botrytis in a medium sweet package with moderate acidity.
Not quite as exciting to me as the demi-sec from the same vineyard and vintage, but still delicious.
