Thursday, January 21, 2021 - I didn’t like this much on opening it, and only drank one glass. Today the wine has really transformed and I’m thrilled to have most of the bottle left!

With adequate time to breath, the wine is a dark crimson, very pure in color, and has a nose dominated by cassis and lavender, vanilla, wax. Vinous (Antonio Galloni) review talks about red licorice and cherry jam.... I see that, but not the tobacco and smoke also mentioned on that review. Sweet yet tart on the palate, mid-weight, polished tannins will need several years to relax, long finish inflected by minerals. 94+ For now, could definitely merit a substantially higher score by age 15.
