Friday, November 4, 2022 - While only my 3rd time having this bottling, Guillaume’s BdB has definitely become one of absolute favorite Champagnes. 2019 disgorgment based mostly on the 2013 vintage and coming from 70+ year old vines (given to Guillaume on his 18th birthday from his grandmother), is really so singular. With extended aeration, it takes on the face of a hypothetical sparkling Montrachet with age.

Its ultra expressive aromatics detail layer upon layer of caramelized orchard fruit, roasted nuts, toffee, oak spice and lavender. The palate shows incredible depth with a seamless marriage of richness and elegance and a long, vibrant, chalky mineral and saline finish. So good. Just 600 bottles made!
