2014 base wine complemented w older vintages dating back to 2008. GC lieu-dit in Cramant Low dosage. Fine and soft mousse. Full bodied, but also mineral, acidity and laser precise. Roasted nuts, lemon peel, honey / beewax tones. Incredible length and concentration. Slight salinity on the palate. Great wine which will age further. Happy to have a few more bottles

While only my 3rd time having this bottling, Guillaume’s BdB has definitely become one of absolute favorite Champagnes. 2019 disgorgment based mostly on the 2013 vintage and coming from 70+ year old vines (given to Guillaume on his 18th birthday from his grandmother), is really so singular. With extended aeration, it takes on the face of a hypothetical sparkling Montrachet with age.
Its ultra expressive aromatics detail layer upon layer of caramelized orchard fruit, roasted nuts, toffee, oak spice and lavender. The palate shows incredible depth with a seamless marriage of richness and elegance and a long, vibrant, chalky mineral and saline finish. So good. Just 600 bottles made!

One of the highlights of the Selosse Study. Blowing away the Largillier. Compared to the Substance, it didn’t have as much power but it did have comparable quality in texture and balance.

Selosse Lieux Dit Tasting: Slight oxidative, with a hint of sulphur note initially. High acidity, great peachy fruit.

Brioche nose but not excessive, quite exuberant. The energy on this thing is crackling and palate very finely balanced.
