Orange, amber, and dried prune coloration. Cherry, raspberry, and tropical fruit on the nose with some hay.

First taste is almost tropical punch flavored with bright notes of citrus. Good dry mouthfeel, medium tannins throughout, and an acidic pucker upfront. Some light minerality and notes of gravel and olive coming in at the end of the relatively short finish.

If you sit on this for a minute or so after sipping, a little something shows up... a hint of earthiness, mushroom, or truffle. It's delightful, but I almost didn't notice it. I wonder if these notes, given time, will become more pronounced and brought forward to counter some of the acid and fruit. If so, I will be excited to see what happens to this wine with age.

88/100
