Wednesday, November 22, 2017 - The nose was dusty and dark with notes of dried cherry, crushed seashell, dusty cedar, roses, and soil tones. On the palate, I found silky textures which were quickly firmed up by fine tannin with dried cherry, inner florals, and savory spices. The finish was incredibly long with cheek-puckering tannin. Tight, firm and packed with potential, the 2013 Gaja Barbaresco is gorgeous.
