Saturday, May 2, 2020 - Decanted this about 30 minutes before dinner, then allowed to open in the glass. Immediately recognizable nose with blackberries and cassis, some leather, a little earthiness. Structure is strong, but not overpowering. Decent amount of fruit left to keep it balanced. Quite enjoyable,everything in its place. Not terribly expressive and a little austere. A little more air probably would have been good if I could have made it last longer. I wouldn't have opened it sooner, though, as I really liked seeing those early stages.
