Thursday, September 2, 2021 - Out of half bottle. PNP. Cork broke & was saturated. High shoulder fill. Crimson with some bricking. Cinnamon, curry, vanilla, a hint of smoke, nutmeg nose. This is an elegant and still powerful wine. The fruits tend towards currants, cranberry. There is some camphor wood, pipe tobacco, some cherry cola, the follow-through of the baking spices and a hint of vanilla. This is a lovely, fully resolved and integrated wine. The detractors are the hint of tartness and the relatively short-ish finish.
