Monday, August 31, 2020 - Opened but did not decant, drank over following few hours with rose sausage pasta and after. Nose brought spring violets, roses, and lavender with whiffs of beef stew and tobacco. The palate is medium, square, compact, and closed, bringing muddled traces of cherries, blackberries, blueberries, iodine, and mushrooms into a tannic yet subtle finish. Shut down at the moment. Drink 2022-2030. Technical score: 92. Enjoyment score: 90.
