Friday, June 17, 2022 - Bottle 972/2092 - As one is reliably used this cuvee and producer promise Pinot Heaven...
Sexy cherry cola nose, macerated cherries, cherries in dark chocolate, so many layers of sweet cherry goodness, fine mineral complexity. But not vulgar, a cool backbone in this war vintage and also on the palate it screens very moderate alcohol (13pct on label). Very immediate sour cherry entry on then palate, it’s so precise, has sweet sourness but and superb acidity (surprisingly so for the vintage especially) seems that Louis-Michel harvested on the day to lend it this much freshness and poise. Wonderful wine.
