Sunday, January 29, 2017 - A classic and delicious Marlborough SB. Lively and herbaceous on the nose, the palate has substantial but balanced acidity, with telltale NZ SB gooseberry rounded out by a panoply of citrus, including lime, pink grapefruit and tangerine. The mouthfeel is also quite caressing for a sauvignon blanc from NZ, which would help this pair well with richer dishes, in addition to classic sshellfish pairings. At $10-12, this is consistently a wonderful wine.
