Sunday, March 27, 2022 - Two hours in the decanter. The wine was immediately aromatic when poured. Sweet (almost candied) cherries, cherry pits, Christmas cake, dried mushrooms, white pepper, and some combination of soy sauce/molasses/Worcestershire sauce (i.e., lots of umami components). Medium acidity and medium+ tannins. Long finish. Very reasonable price for a monopole and for a Burgundy of this quality, in general. Probably good for another 10 years, it seems.
