Thursday, May 4, 2017 - Being just a baby, this effort certainly provides a lot of pleasure tonight too. The palate of course delivers massive ripe and very elegant fruit with lemon and zest as major components accompanied by beautiful colza and tons of minerals - which actually appears as sandy seaweed when drying up in the sun... Texture and structure is lovely and adds to the overall component. There is enough power here to make this effort age gracefully for a decade or perhaps more. The number one keyword for the palate is balance. Based on experience from previous vintages I am confident integration will come with some rest in the cellar. A lovely wine!

Tasted in a flight with 2009, 2012 and 2015 Brewer-Clifton S:ta Rita Hills Chardonnay.
