Saturday, May 19, 1990 - With Michael Lehmann at Singer & Foy vertical tasting of Beaucastel. Light yellow gold. Somewhat pungent nose, with more than a passing resemblance to a Chassagne-Montrachet. In the mouth, seems less than special. A bit weird initially, it finishes with some complexity. Vanilla finish. Should be better. 5-11-13-4: 83/100.
