Sunday, April 9, 2017 - Quite full flavored for an Arneis, and therefore distinctly different from its Piedmontese counterparts. And yes, it has a bit of that pear and hazelnut component that Arneis is known for, plus a bit of stone in the finish. Like grüner veltliner and albariño, the grape seems to have adapted well to California's southcentral coastal region. This one is from the new Los Olivos AVA.
