  • Medium-light golden in color. Full, fragrant & attractive nose of ripe citrus fruit aromas of lemons/limes, pear, with a hint of orange rind, overtones of floral notes & hazelnuts, stony & minerals. Light bodied with a good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of tart lemons/limes, sweet pears, stony & minerals. Crisp lingering finish. Drinks well at present although it may continue to develop with an additional year or two of further aging. Much rounder & fuller than its Italian counterparts.

  • Quite full flavored for an Arneis, and therefore distinctly different from its Piedmontese counterparts. And yes, it has a bit of that pear and hazelnut component that Arneis is known for, plus a bit of stone in the finish. Like grüner veltliner and albariño, the grape seems to have adapted well to California's southcentral coastal region. This one is from the new Los Olivos AVA.
