Tuesday, April 25, 2023 - My initial impression when tasting it unaccompanied was rather underwhelming; rather austere, tannic and lacking fruit. When paired with some calves liver though this came alive and was vibrant, refreshing and subtle, in fact very nicely balanced. The fruit came to the fore too, with flavours of liquorice, raspberry and cherry. CHP 88pts
