Sunday, June 1, 2014 - Like so many others from the underrated Rasteau region, this comes across like a bona fide Chateauneuf at half the price. The palate is smoky and packed deeply with berry fruits and a beef-stock meatiness which adds real character and power. Full-bodied with plenty of life ahead, this was perfect with a slow-cooked BBQ. What a stunning bargain this is at £12.
