Wednesday, October 14, 2020 - Decanted and poured. Cork disintegrated, but filtered and no ill effects. Rich purple color to red at the edge. Black fruit, maybe leaf tobacco, graphite, oak, hint of eucalyptus and cut grass on the nose. That description doesn't really do it justice, very pleasant bouquet of aromas. Palate is a robust, complex blend of black and red fruits, spice, licorice, hints of pencil lead, menthol, nicely balanced. Full bodied, smooth, long, slightly spicy finish, well-integrated, subtle tannins, creating an exceptional mouth feel/experience. Wonderful!
