Tuesday, July 17, 2018 - Decanted about an hour before supper. Dark color. Opens with a terrific floral perfume, set off by black cherry and oak notes. Just a bit of alcoholic heat too. Full-bodied with flavors of black fruit, chocolate, plum, raspberry and spicy oak. Will need some time to soften and integrate the wood. These wines age well- patience will be rewarded. 88+ now for me, 90 for Domino, and there's plenty of room for improvement as this approaches maturity. Try again in 2025+.
