Saturday, April 20, 2024 - Lafon's 1994 Charmes is drinking beautifully, wafting from the glass with aromas of confit orchard fruit, lemon oil, iodine and chamomile, followed by a medium to full-bodied, satiny and suave palate that exhibits exceptional tension and structure for the vintage, its core of ripe fruit fully intact and framed by chalky structuring extract. This is a definite over-performer that's in its prime today.
