Monday, March 4, 2019 - Terroir-istes International - France, Burgundy, Auxy, Beaune, Savigny, Corton (Bishopscourt): (Tasted Blind): Light to mid-garnet hue, revealing an orange rim that suggests a touch of age. Aromas unfold with plenty of ripe fruits of Bing cherry, spicy oak and blackberry. Delightly perfume with a noticeable lift, I liked the diverse array of fruits. Bright, loquacious, and vivid, the oak spices linger long in the background.
Black cherry over Bing on the palate with a sturdy foundation of tannins, somewhat dense. The spicy oak adds complexity, and there's a slight sweetness on the fringes of the fruits. Intense and fleshy with a cheerful brightness towards its long finish.
