Friday, September 10, 2010 - All the staples of d'Yquem are there--the golden hue, the lovely scent of apricots, honey, cough syrup intermingled with botrytis rot, the mouth of honey and cytric fruit. But somehow, the balance did not feel quite right, the overall product tasting ever so slightly cloying, and not quite as complex and mult-layered as some d'Yquem I've tasted in the past.
