Monday, December 4, 2017 - Tasted after 1990 VCC. Again quite a bit of bottle variation. While the first bottle wasn’t flawed, the wine was much darker and more evolved in colour. Quite tired on nose and palate, lacking vibrancy and lift, a bit heavy, cloying and simple (88-90?). The second bottle was lighter in colour, much fresher and detailed. Floral notes, marzipan, orange peel, caramel. More tension and lift on the palate, great acidity, lovely length. Drink or keep. 92-94
